Living at Wilsons College is like living in a community within a community. The diversity of courses studied by students at Wilsons College is so large that you can always meet lots of university people and make great friendships that will last long after you complete your by degree.

On week-ends when not studying, we organise car pools to the near by beaches in Ballina, Lennox or Byron. We also have sports teams in the S.C.U competitions for netball, touch, basketball, tennis and battle of the bands.

It’s great for group study and it’s a huge plus having 11 people doing my course that I go and or travel with to S.C.U. everyday. By living at Wilsons College it’s such a bonus having the student support.

Hi my name is David. I am a third year sport tourism student at Southern Cross University. I have lived at Wilsons College for three years. I find living at the College very convenient as it is walking distance to the University and to the shopping centre. It is easy to make friends here as there is a wide range of students from all over Australia. Each year I have enjoyed a different set of room mates which have gone on to become close friends.

Wilsons College is a great place to meet a wide range of new and interesting people from all over Australia. The atmosphere within the College is a friendly and welcoming environment, no matter which part of the world you are from. The campus is located just a few minutes from Uni, and just a short walk into town to buy all the essentials. I would recommend Wilsons College to any new student coming to Lismore.

Living at Wilsons College this year has not only helped me to become a more independent person, it has also given me the opportunity to develop new friendships that I will indeed have for life. As if moving to Lismore from a small country town was not daunting enough, I found that the transition to Wilsons College and university was a lot easier than anticipated. Located in a quiet street, a convenient distance to university and having affordable, comfortable spacious rooms with large living areas are only some of the fixations I like about living here at Wilsons College.

To be honest I would not recommend any other place to live, especially if you are a first year student like me.
